Special

by Sherita Thompson
They Changed Me“I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Psalm 139:14

Though born in sin and shaped in iniquity, you are special.

Though nurtured in love and surrounded by hate and intolerance, you are special.

Though slighted and often treated with disdain, you are special.

Though ridiculed, abused, and often misunderstood, you are special.

Though criticized, re-prioritized, and sometimes victimized, you are special.

Though tempted to go along with an agenda you knew was all wrong, you are special.

Though hated and despised for being set apart and different, you are special.

Though uncertain at times about your God-given purpose and God’s will for your life, you are special.

Though you may fall but recognize the need to keep on getting up, you are special.

Though you may lose your way and wander far from God, you are special.

Though you may not fully understand God’s perfect plan or what He’s even doing in your life, you are special.

Though sin has marred our beautiful home, God has made provision because you are special.

Because you are special, His love has gone the extra mile in taking the necessary steps to redeem you as His child.

Because you are special, this world has never been the same because of a hill called Calvary.

Because you are special, promises that were never meant to be broken will be fulfilled in the very near future when our loving Savior returns to take us to Glory from this sinful Earth.

Because you are special, your life can be different, starting today, because the God who created you designed you for His special purposes.

So, whether you know it or not, believe it or not, the Creator of the universe loves you with an eternal, unchanging love like you have never seen, known, or imagined.

Why?

Because you are special to Him, He wants you to know just how special you are every day and in every way.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
