Has the romance in your marriage faded into the background? Is the original “spark or glow” slowly disappearing, or has it disappeared? I know from experience, maintaining the emotional excitement and romance after childbirth can be difficult and physically exhausting once the day-to-day cares of married life and child-rearing begin to take a toll on your body. But as important as caring for the children and home is, your romance, requires as much attention, and I will venture to say, and is even more important. So, I encourage you today, myself included, if the romance in your marriage has faded, and has taken a back row seat to your children, the chores of the home, your job, church obligations, or school, then it’s time to put it in its proper perspective. By all means, work at reigniting the sparks back into your romance.
